Our vision is to fulfill the Great Commission. We believe that at this time, God has called us to go and make disciples in Honduras. The people of Honduras may know of Jesus, but many of them do not know about the personal relationship that He desires with them. It’s also hard to grow spiritually when your basic needs for water, food, shelter, and health are not being met.
We aim to show the love of Jesus through our actions. We want to see more Hondurans with clean water, healthy food, latrines, adequate shelter, and excellent healthcare. God has called us to care for “the least of these” (Matthew 25:40). By providing for these basic necessities local leaders will rise up to care for their own community.
Our ultimate goal is to see more Hondurans in heaven. We want to build relationships with our community. Not only do we hope that more people will trust Christ as their Savior, but we also want to assist them in continuing to grow in their relationship with God. Local pastors will also be given more assistance in training so that they can care for and grow their congregations.
One unique aspect of our ministry is that we will be involved with North Americans as well. We look forward to assisting them during their week, and challenging them to take that next step in their walk. We hope that eyes will be opened to the massive need for laborers for Christ around the world. We also want to serve our teams and provide them with an excellent experience. In doing so, El Ayudante will continue to grow by more teams coming to serve and expand the Kingdom.
We and the staff at El Ayudante have big dreams and goals for the near future. We can’t wait to see how God is going to blow us away! He is so capable of more than we can imagine (1 Corinthians 2:9).
